Missing quilts

Earlier this month a couple of quilts disappeared.....one made by Ricky Timms (sp). He made it to Chicago but his suit case containing his beautiful one of a kind quilts never did. Wish I had the info that I had yesterday to share but I don't.

I'll do a search later to post here as I don't have the time right now....or maybe someone else can post the article about this stolen (?) quilts. So important for us all to look after one another!

I hope it's just a case of a suitcase being misplaced.

The chances are very high that it is incompetence not malice as airline baggage handling is a law unto itself :-( DH and I both now refuse to fly via Paris Charles de Gaulle airport at they have the highest score at losing our baggage. Last time they lost my bag of service tools for I need for my job both flying out to the customer AND on my return! I even saw the bag come off the plane on my way back, but somehow they didn't manage to load it onto my next one. I can remember when we used to take the tools as carry on precisely to avoid them being lost - just imagine trying to do that now.

I have also learnt to carry sufficient spare small toiletries in my hand luggage and underthings with me in my purse (!) as a cancelled connecting flight can mean no access to your baggage at all as I discovered once to my cost on my way home.

Good luck Ricky on your lost sheep making their own way home.

WOW !

That quilt is spectacular, I hope that it's not lost forever. I'd be sick if it was mine and missing. The time and workmanship! The close up of the detail, the patience...
