Monsterquilts ( to Sharon and others )

as some kind of monsterquilt is living here too, why don't we make a

10-minutes-a-day motivation group here ??? Mine is called La vie en rose and I'm close to the 'I hate it' stage :-)) I'm handquilting it ( with month-long pauses in between ). At the moment it's watching me type ( I can feel its reproachfull look in my back ;-) ) Heidi from Germany

Doesn't even have to be a monster. I need to do just 5 more 8" quilted medallions. And it was only a child/ lap size. Got pretty bored after doing

2 of them. So please whup me upside the head and order me to Get It Done by the end of tomorrow! Roberta in D

Aaaah Heidi, a lady after my own heart! I truly, really, honestly and completely HATE THIS QUILT. There, that's better. Now, I've had a shocking long day at work (7.10am - 5.30pm - no lunch) so I'm going to have a couple of glasses of wine, something to eat (not sure what) and settle back to watch CSI Miami which I taped during the week. Oh and I'm gonna quilt too!!

come on Heidi!! you can do it! if I can finish my monster for a show you can do a bit on yours!

btw... it got used as the background for TV interview about the show so I had a good look at it while hanging there - it looks miles better than I expected! :-D

Ah, thanks Heidi! I thought of you and finished quilting yesterday (Friday). All done except for sewing down the edge of binding, but that's an evening-with-TV job.

The trouble with monsters is that a single line of stitching takes so long! Nothing like what we expect. If we could just change our expectations, it might not be so bad. Or we might never start the monsters in teh first place. Roberta in D
