found theses while googling.

45 in this album, all 4 patch posie designs. i like the supreme idea on this link. i'm guessing it is much like Joans, being on point and framed. hmmmm, i have a bunch of orientals too, i wonder... oh, the outside triangles also match each other, hmmm, very cool. enjoy! jeanne

Good golly! That's a bunch of quilts!

I do like the Asian-themed one. And does give one a good idea of what different kinds of fabric will work. Love the kitchen tools!

thanx, joan

What a find! Love the pine cone and holly fabric! Oh Jeanne, we're both hooked on the Orientals. And then there are #26 and #30, the ones with the log cabin effect!

Yes, I definitely need to buy one of those patterns!

We should have a swap of these 4-patch posies!

I'm not sure if that would work - would it? Cause you mostly use your main fabric for your borders too. Could be interesting.

We could all use the same fabric? Maybe sent along a FQ with the block? I'd have to think about that some more.

hold on a sec, Sally. you've got xmas fabs that you think are yuk? am i reading you right? well, if you got a big enough piece of one(depends on the repeat size i guess) with a dark background and bright whatever on it, sure would make a lovely set of blocks that might look like applique'd designs. there was one set on that site that reminded me of that. tho it was a couple days ago now so i could be just fantasy'n bout what would be nice. shrug, jeanne

that made me think.... if you layered your fabs, cut strips, then cut sqs, then make HSTs of those...no set in bits as you've got hst sqs...it would be similar but the 8 triangles would be half one fab and half another. course making the hsts might be tricky...i've not given it much thot yet, just popped into my head now. would ya have to reverse the two sqs for hst so they were the same design on each when finished? oh dear, my brain isnt up to this. probly makes no sense at all or it wont work at all. shrug, jeanne

i liked that log cabin setting too, Kay. unless we each had enough of the same fabric i dont think it would work to swap blocks tho. nice idea tho. maybe some folks in usa with access to all the same fabrics could manage it. being soooooo far away and as it takes a fair amound for the 4 layers i'm outta that loop, lol. no worrys, jeanne

How about a blue and white gingham border, then the 4-patch posies could all be different fabrics but with blue and white and some other color. I'll have to play with EQ and see what I can come up with. By the time I come up with something, the fascination will be over!

Do it Kay. I'll be curious to see what it looks like. It could be interesting.

Oops - I'm sorry - I added a line to my signature about Ricky Tims. Didn't mean to blatantly advertise it. My guild is the hosting guild & I'm anxiously spreading the word.

It might be easier to play with Paint Shop Pro -- I can crop and rotate the fabric samples more easily there. Then I can put the fabrics together in Microsoft word.I don't really know much about EQ yet. I mostly draw paper-piecing patterns.

playing with EQ is the only way to learn. just click and see what happens. :) not as if its gonna break anything now is it, lol. have fun!! jeanne

I love Christmas fabrics normally, but have one or two bits that have been sitting waiting for inspiration - perhaps they are more novelty than I usually go for. I find that visitors to Christmas and other Craft fairs want 'something for nothing', and these might make into something that caught the eye and they would want to buy, and wouldn't cost a lot to make.
