My Sewing Table

Yes my DH actually did it for me. The same day I asked him in fact,I might just hang on to him for another 41 years! lol. It is in my webshot along with a couple of other bits and bobs. I did lose my "mojo£ for a couple of months but this has kick started me.Take a look if you have time.

The Sewing table is at the beginning of the quilts album I think! I will look and see.

Estelle, I like the job he did, but I have a question. I am not familiar with the Husky machines, but the angled face of the button control panel makes it look like the last buttons on the bottom are not fully accessible. Maybe those are just labels and not buttons, so it doesn't make a difference. If not, there is probably something in the angled view that gives that illusion. Otherwise, bravo.

Thank you John. Bravo indeed. The Husqvarna Lily I have has no buttons that are hidden. He has made me a little space on the side below the surface to use the on/off button and it is a top loader bobbin. It works very well and I am delighted, I did a little test piece of Bluebell woods that I am loading on my webshots. It was great to be able to have a good view of the project!

I went upstairs to have a look (Estelle and I have the same machine), and guess what? Not on the bench! Lily is folded up and away as I have been making test samples of buttonholes with the archaic buttonholing machines on my 99K FrankenSinger, and I wanted it out to nail the Victorian skirt to it's waistband. Lining and outer pleated to 2 layers of fabric and two layers of interfacing! Lots of thick. Lily does it well, but FrankenSinger does it faster!

I'll go have another look.

It turned out great! Kudos to your DH. You are soooo going to love having that big flat surface to work on.
