National/International Quilting Day

Tomorrow 3/20/10 is the first day of spring. The season turns at

10:32AM Pacific Time. It is also Quilting Day!

Don't forget to sew a few stitches. Or fondle fabric. Or pick a pattern.

For those of you heading to the Glendale [CA] Quilt show at the Burbank Hilton, have fun! Don't forget to stop and say "hi" to my friends Dawn and Patrick at The Creation Station booth.

Lovely and very clever, how they lined up NQD w/ National Chocolate Week.

I'm ready for both. Finish the binding on one quilt, start quilting the next "client" quilt, a pretty, vintage (1930s) Sunbonnet Sue (owner calls it a "Dutch Doll" but the shoes tell the difference, shoes, not clogs), in very good condition, lies fairly flat, and is full of joyful fabrics.

Tomorrow we'll make plans for next week, a trip to the Tyler quilt show:

Life was just way too busy here yesterday! The extent of my quilting activities: I 'talked quilting' with my bee friend, and I hugged the new Relay for Life quilt! It is gorgeous! A group did the piecing, a friend (and friend to Alice in PA!) did the amazing long arm quilting. Today I will do the first round of binding. I will also sew a couple blocks for other projects. IOW, I'm really celebrating NQD today. Happy quilting, Pat in Virginia
