Need your input.....

This is the text I used on my quilt of valor label:

"This quilt has been created and given in appreciation of the service you have provided to your country. May it bring you the comfort, warmth and security that the many men and women of the US Armed Forces provide citizens such as myself through your service. Please know that the time you have given your country, and the sacrifices you have made to do so are greatly appreciated my family and by me."

You may need to modify it -- but feel free to use any part of it if you would like.

I saw something similar on a quilt made for a wounded WWII soldier.

Last month a group of us made lap quilts for Veterans in the Veteran Hospital. Each small group signed its own quilt as preferred. (We used pens on a light square.) ONe wrote, "We appreciate your contributions and sacrifices for the country." My group signed a cream rail fence log, on the front of the quilt. We wrote: "G_d Bless You and G_d Bless America" I drew a heart, and we all signed our first name, last initial. Also, "Sept. 2006" Short and sweet works for us. Just do what comes from *your* heart.
