New Pictures

Well, I figured that I might as well cross this off my list right away.

I guess that I have already posted the other pics from projects finished over Christmas. Here is a link for the two paper-pieced blocks that I made. The mask is for my Aunt who is into the theatre. Please be kind. I know that I could have lined things up better. I'm actually finding that larger pieces give me more problems than smaller pieces. The Hummingbird is for my Grandma. She will be 90 next month. I liked the yellow fabric that I picked that I have used in other quilts, but on this piece it sure changed colors depending on the direction that it ended up. I will have to keep that in mind for other such pieces.

Here is another link for another set of of pictures of a moose that has been hanging around. It actually ran up the driveway to the garage at me and we almost backed in to it leaving the other night.

Steve, I love the mask -- it has a wild sort of look to it and yet it's beautiful at the same time. And the hummingbird is gorgeous. you're really sweet to think of your grandma. I think the yellow fabric is just right. it changes just enough to add some texture and interest to the background. Nice work.

Both are very nice. I've done the hummingbird twice and know how tiny some of those pieces are. My plan is to make 4 for a wall hanging. I love the bright colors in the mask.

You're being much too hard on yourself, Steve. Both of those pieces are lovely! Your aunt and your grandma will both be thrilled.

I enjoyed the picture of the moose. Not a sight we would see in Nevada. :-) Do the moose cause any problems?

Best regards, Michelle in NV

Steve: I like both pieces. I am sure your Aunt and your Gran will both be delighted. I have to say that I was *really* surprised when I viewed the mask photo! While scrolling down, I was staring at the face, at the black 'mouth' and it appeared to open and shut!! Yes, for an instant it seemed to move and for that instant I thought it was an April Fool's joke. LOL When was that moose photographed? Do you have that much snow even now?
