NEW TERBEAR SWAP-YOUR PICK

Ok, it's really not new, but it is going to be new to some of you. This is round four of the Your Pick swap. Currently our member numbers are down, and these ladies are just itching to make some blocks....the reader's digest version of this swap is as follows: you find a fabric you like (Your Pick), you cut it into 14" squares & you send a piece to each member. They have one month to make a block (or sometimes two if they like) and they mail it back to you...you then make a quilt out of it....want to see some of the quilts these amazing women have made? go here:

Who can join? Anyone that can be counted on to complete the swap (the swap commitment it usually 2 blocks a month, and no more then

3)....and the duration depends on how many members join up. You can be ANY level quilter....if you can make a quilt block and are reliable, we want ya! You can use any technique you like to make your block, there are no rules as to what you can and can't make....so let your creativity run wild.

Who can't join? Anyone that has burned members of a terbear swap. If you joined up for one of my previous swaps and left other members hanging, maybe my swaps aren't for you. Luckily, there are only a few that fill those shoes.

If you are on the fence or want more info, please feel free to e-mail me at teri @ terbear.com (remove spaces) also, instead of clicking replay, please e-mail at the terbear.com address to join in also.... Looking forward to meeting some new faces! Terbear

Teri - I am looking forward to another exciting round of Your Pick. It is fun to ooooooooo and ahhhhhhhhhh over everyones focus fabric and the beautiful original blocks everyone creates. Since I am pretty traditional, it is fun to get some more artistic blocks and blocks with wild colors. Can't wait to get started!

Although I won't be able to join the next "your pick" swap--gotta catch up on projects--I've been in the last three and they were awesome. All the blocks I received were exceptional. And the cool thing is that you receive blocks in styles that you don't normally make. Really makes a quilt incredibly special. I can hardly stand not to do the 4th one, but projects are starting to fall out of the closet, so it's really time to get some of them finished up!

Teri, Here you say 14" blocks, and on the notice I got earlier today it was

12" It doesn't really make a difference to me, just wondering. Also, what size will the completed blocks need to be--can you tell I'm excited and want to start looking for ones to make. Gen

Hi Gen, it is a small change I made for this round, that way people won't have to ask for extra incase of cutting mistakes, and it will leave less waste from WOF which you can easily get 3 squares from every

14"....with a little extra to spare. I just haven't updated the rules that are sent out when you jo> Teri, Here you say 14" blocks, and on the notice I got earlier today it was

Hey folks - this is a great swap. Doesn't take any time at all, you just have to make 2 or 3 blocks a month with someone elses fabric! Add a little from your scraps to make a cool block and you are done.

You get to pick the fabric for your blocks. It really ties them all together and makes a nice looking quilt.

JOIN NOW! The more the merrier and we are a merry bunch of swappers.
