OT - Banana Bread Recipe

It's late, I have the absolute worst toothache from h*ll, I can't sleep, nothing, not even Vicodin helps the pain, so here I am. Posting my rambling thoughts because the "drugs" keep them scattered. Now the problem is, awhile back, like in January or February, some of you were posting about your banana bread or "killer" banana bread recipes. I printed them out and DH made one of them. It was really good but now I've misplaced the recipes. I've googled for them but google is not my friend tonight, especially since it's gone dark. So if you all would be so kind as to repost those recipes for me I would be ever so grateful. The main thing I remember about the one DH made was that it had crushed pineapples in it. I found a recipe online tonight and DH made it for me but it just wasn't the same. You all have great recipes. He made Leslie's caramels for me awhile back too and oh my gosh. Delectable!!! Ok I have to go now cause my mouth is throbbing so bad I just want to cry. The tooth is coming out Monday thank goodness. Never thought I would ever be so happy to go to the dentist since I have a major phobia of dentists. Ok Ok I'm off to bed. Thank you all so much for letting me ramble.

lots of 'banana bread with pineapple' recipes on these google results. i'll betcha something is there that will work for you. some of the bigger websites for cooking usually has lots of recipes for that old favourite banana bread and variations. that might be the Hawaiian version of the BB. i did a pretty thorough search thru rctq at google groups and i didnt find the recipe per se. tho i didnt read every post, just used the 'find' under edit in the top menu on my browser. works pretty good finding a single word. i searched the group first for Banana bread, then used the find for 'pineapple'. keeping me from going totally bonkers here. hope that helps, j.

I sort of know about the banana nut bread recipe discussion. I frequently use one to say 'thank you' for a kindness or to bribe someone. My recipe is nothing unusual, I just use the ordinary Bisquick recipe. Almost always, I tweak it a little by adding in fine vanilla or substituting part of the white sugar with brown. I've even been known to use baby food jars of bananas when ripe bananas weren't around. Can't help you with the pineapple version. That must have come from another creative rctq mad chemist.
