OT Christmas Parties and such

About two weeks ago I mentioned needing to purchase a 'universal' gift for the grab bag at work. Well, the party was last night. There were lots of gift cards, as some of you had suggested, and some scratch off lottery cards, DVDs and so on. The cards were popular, the DVDs not so much. The only really weird gift was an electric nose hair trimmer!! It was won by a teen age girl and she was a good sport about it. The gift I contributed, in case you are nosy, was a huge poinsettia plant. It was very popular, was 'stolen' twice and would have gone a few more rounds, if that had been permitted. I received a very pretty glass candle vase. Not a vase for flowers, but same shape. It will hold a medium size candle. It has facets of a pretty topaz yellow and is the right color for our family room! Later. PAT

Sounds like fun! Our party for work in on Friday, and we do an ornament exchange. You can't imagine how much fun 60 people can have with that little game. Some years our CFO, CEO and COO come to play, and we all have fun sticking them with the stupidest or funniest ornaments. They seem to take it all in the spirit of fun. I do love a group that works well and plays well together!
