OT:Daughter update

A bit of a setback on the recovery.

So, home barely more than 24 hours and Mom took her back to the ER on Saturday night and she was admitted. Couldn't keep any liguids down, including pain and other meds and an increasing temp. Doctor was an a$$ on Sunday and finally told her what actually took place. We thought he already had. Now on no liguids because insides are "asleep" and nothing is moving. Doctor visited again today and told her that nausea is all in her head. Was rude, addressed her wrong, barked at nurse. He left, nurse can't directly say how to get a new doctor and said, "we can't ask for another doctor. The patient has to ask." She got the message, said to fire the doctor and find her a new one. Mom and daughter have filed a complaint with the hospital, new doctor visited and explained ALL that has gone on and went over her chart with her, for the first time, and while there was a possibility of getting out tomorrow, that may be extended another week to ten days. She's actually not taking it too bad being in the hospital as she's actually feeling better there. No more spiking fevers and the like. Mom has also extended her stay which Dad and I are glad for. Nice to have a medical person here interpreting things for us all.

So, things are not going as planned, but could be much worse, but there is still a slow road ahead.

Thanks for all manner of hugs.

I have a solution. 'Zits' is not a cartoon I enjoy or even understand but yesterday's surely caught my eye. We know what to do with that @#! doctor.

Just catching up after being away and madly busy... Hope everything is progressing properly and she'll be out soon.

It makes things so much better to know that a new doctor has been found, one who can help you through this illness.

More good thoughts headed your way,
