OT: Doc Smith Hijacked

Looks like somebody hijacked Doc Smith's account to post that flagrantly mean subject line. Doc, hope you recover soon.

That subject line has turned up in several groups I read. My guess is that the spammer chose people to impersonate at random.

It didn't appear here. Don't know because I don't have the 'real' Doc blocked; may have been an address that was already on my ignore list. Polly

I wasn't hijacked. What happened was, some.... troll posted a lengthy, bigoted, offensive, hateful diatribe. I didn't even read it to realize what it was - didn't have to. As I often do, I responded, making fun of the idjit/idjitcy; in this case my implication being that s/he must be on drugs, and has a fried brain. The mistake I made was in not quoting the OP, partly due to its exceeding length, but more because it didn't deserve quoting/reproduction - even to ridicule.

Thank you all for recognizing the truth. As I always say, when someone posts something that appears out of character, there is a good reason.

Forgot to mention... after I posted my *reply*, the OP mysteriously disappeared - almost immediately. I don't know how this was accomplished; at one time people posting via google had an option to delete/edit posts. Sometimes it worked, but not all carriers(?) adhered to the protocol, so often copies of a deleted post could be found floating around. This is why it was a mistake for me not to include at least a portion (header?) of the offending... post. I got trapped by a troll.
