OT - Donuts/Muffin recipes

Hi all,

My DD just gave me three cooking trays - Two Norpro 6 and 12 count nonstick donut pans.

This is the website I went to for the donut pan but couldn't find any recipes - do any of you wonderful quilting cooks out there have a recipe I can use.

My only knowledge of donuts are the ones you deep fry in oil.

And one Muffin top pan - 6 cup.

just a quick note as i've been in bed all day, crook. trying to wait out the

3 day weekend here (labour day) til i head back to either drs or the ER at hospital. this is not going away and i'm feeling crap.

check google for cake donuts. those are baked in the oven rather than deep fried. i prefer the texture actually. my fav donut is old fashioned glazed. they are not all soft and fluffy like deep fried ones. i reckon you could add some nice spices to the batter/dough used too. i'm sure you'll figure it out. dough rolled out to right thickness, then cut big circle and smaller one in middle for your donut. easy peasy. good luck and let us know how your baking works out. cheers....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz jeanne who has been in bed all day and will remain here for the duration. :/

I'm sorry you are not well - I was ill a couple of weeks ago with Pneumonia and still feel washed out but am on the mend now.

Look after yourself and I do pray that you will be feeling better soon.

Thanks Janner, Will let you know how they turn out, especially the apple and cinnamon ones. DH loves most things with apple in them.

Di, go to the King Arthur web page and blog. Every one of their recipes is wonderful. I think I remember seeing one for the donut pans over there. Wish you were close so I could help you taste test! Taria

Looks good (I don't eat fried donuts), very good.Would need at least 2 pans to make enough donuts at one time(rather than taking all day ). I'm interested....mmmm...for this time of year (in the States):

[Btw, I have not forgotten about this package due to head your way; some things just take a while to incubate. ]

Cheers! Happy eating!! Ragmop/Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Please don't go to the trouble, my DD and her partner have just returned from the USA (Friday) and she bought me a new roller cutter, small scissors and leather thimble. The rest I will gather over time. Thanks for being so thoughtful. Di
