This is a blanket apology to anyone who may have written me at the address below since mid-July.
As some of you may remember, our EarthLink email in this area was bought out by Embarq a few months back. I had to switch, at which time I discovered that I was going to lose newsgroup access and my web site, all of top of frequent email outages from Embarq. The air around here was sort of blue. ;S
That's when I found out that EarthLink could still handle my email (giving me back newsgroup access!) for a slight fee -- which I promptly paid. However, somehow Embarq managed to "detour" my email by having all Earthlink email forwarded to Embarq -- an account I was no longer checking. Yikes!
I only realized a day or so ago that I wasn't getting things I'd been expecting, and a test email from myself proved that nothing was going through. I've spent the afternoon on both phone and chat support, and things are finally working (I *think*!) again. Whew! I've downloaded almost 100 messages from the past couple of weeks and am wading through them.
Please forgive me if I haven't answered a message you sent -- if it was really important, please write again, just in case some messages were lost in the shuffle.
