I love these setups but I was expecting it to end up turning on the coffee pot. There is a computer game called Incredible Machines if memory serves. The game gave you the endpoint and you had to build a contraption using the supplies they gave you. I loved this game but I upgraded to XP and then to Vista and unfortunately I don't think they upgraded the software.

It does work with XP, I don't know about Vista. My son and my granddaughter play it all the time here. It's a great game.

I should correct my statement - I don't think the version of the software I have will work with XP. I've had it for a while. I think I will resist the temptation to find it though, I got a Nintendo DS for Christmas with the requested Brain Age 2 game. That has a gazillion sudoku games on it as well. Need I say more! Although, my brain IS getting younger! And......I'm doing well at the piano part of Brain Age!

Oh, I used to play that game for HOURS. I loved it and totally forgot about it. I wonder where it went? Hmmmmmmm.

Hey! I got a DS for Christmas too. I just bought Flash Focus Vision Training. I'm not sure what it's training me to do, but it's more fun and less pressure than Brain Age.

I'm a lot stupider than I thought.

I bought Flash Focus too and I like it but not better than Brain Age - yet. I also bought Puzzle Quest and the Pirates of the Car. game - as tools to learn how to use the DS, you understand. I have been doing Brain Age training everyday though. It's amazing how something simple as making change can drive you crazy! I'm finally under 30 seconds for the sign finder game but I have not yet tried the "hard" version. My latest purchase is the NY Times Crossword puzzle card. I think that gives me enough to fiddle with for now. I tend to like the puzzle and word type of games.

Howdy!

The practical, mother part of me says, Clean up the mess and put out the fire. (Really, lighting the candle seems extraordinarily stupid & careless.)

If they'd put this much energy into selecting & cutting some fabric, even their old t-shirts, they might learn something...about quilting.

I remember that game!! It was great!! But I haven't played it for a while...it must've disappeared with a computer upgrade at some point, same as for you.
