OT: Further in The Cheeto Chronicles

Hi Guys, I got an e-mail from DD with a photo of HRH Cheeto Mosquito the Frito Bandito -- SITTING on the SMDGD's head & shoulders -- LOLOL! He's looking right at DD's phone with a quite blasé' glint in his eye, hind feet perched on Raechel's shoulders and front arms draped around either side of her head :-))). Apparently R walks around the house with the Skeeter Cat perched in this position and he falls asleep half the time. The OTHER half of the time, he's getting into trouble. He still climbs everything and knocks over half of what he approaches. There is a huge stramash at least twice a week when he tries to steal Sam's (the new boy dog) food. Sam doesn't mind but Aspen (the old girl dog) goes for the throat and Cheeto simply jumps up on the counter and then atop the 'fridge. Cheeto enjoys getting atop the 'fridge, waiting for someone to come into the kitchen and then leaping down onto the kitchen island and making enough noise to scare the living daylights out of everyone. DD swears the cat smiles as he runs away after taking a few years off her life -- LOLOL! He sleeps EVERY night with R and never lets an opportunity to nap with my DSonIL during the day pass him by. But I'm saving the best for last. Remember I told how EVERYTHING is a toy for this cat. Doesn't matter if it moves or not -- if Cheeto can lay paw to it then IT'S A TOY!!! Last time DD did the laundry, DSonIL wanted to know why she didn't wash his under shorts. DD says she washed everything that was in the hamper. She looked in the closet where their hamper is kept and there were no tidy whities left laying about. She then checked the dresser drawers to see if maybe the undies got put in the wrong place and they were no where to be found!!! Late last week it was time for R & her Dad to clean up the living room -- a honey do left for them by DD. Imagine their surprise when they start moving stuff around to vacuum and the two barrel chairs on casters won't roll!!! Raechel got down on her hands & knees to see what was causing the problem and, LO & BEHOLD, THERE is all of her Daddy's missing chonies -- FYI, that's Mexican for under shorts. Seems that The Skeeter Cat has been jumping into the dirty clothes hamper, digging through it to find Dad's undies and then jumping back out with them and hiding them in the formal living room -- on the other side of the house

-- under the furniture. He has no use for sweaty socks or tee shirts, just the tidy whities! And I'm not talking about a nice low basket for dirty clothes or a regular wooden hamper. NO -- this is one of those three compartment, loosely hanging fabric bags hampers!!! Did I mention that this is a weird cat or what?!?!?!? VBS -- I think DD is a bit put out by the fact that the cat hasn't bonded closely with her. I keep telling her that she puts more energy into loving on the dogs and less on the cat so of course the cat prefers his "Dad" and Raechel. DD forgets the time she spent in bonding with the kitten we had when she was little -- she just wants the cat to instantly love her. I keep telling her that ain't gonna happen and, sure enough, it doesn't. Ah well -- she's got just the two dogs and R and DSonIL have the dogs AND the cat. Guess who I think got the better bargain? I just LOVE getting these messages about Cheeto. Sounds like a wonderful addition to that family. Is there anyway you can post the pic of him sitting on top of her head?????

Thank you Mary. I really badly needed a smile and the Cheeto Chronicles is just the treat. What a treasure of a kitty. Lots of rolls to fill and Cheeto does them all. Polly

Oh, so do I. If I see 'Cheeto' in my list of thread headers, I go straight there. You tell such a great story, Mary. If you were to make a compilation of Cheeto tales, I'd buy it for one!! And, because of the time difference, I get to start any Cheeto day with a smile.

Mind you, I think I'm rather glad that none of mine is quite such a naughty genius >g< .

Our "regular" 'puter is at the"doctor" so I will upload the photo as soon as it is back home. That should be by the end of the week, I think. It will have to be at Webshots -- sorry. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Webshots will be fine, Mary. We don't really mind. All of us know how to turn the sound off and destroy the pop-ups. And - Webshots lets us do a little harmless growling. Might be good for our anger management homework. Please do share the Cheeto pictures; we love that kitty. Polly
