We are indulging in the Great British Bank Holiday Tradition of DIY! Himself has completed repainting the bathroom window frame, and is going to repaper the bit of the hall where the leak came in and spoiled the new paper put up after the previous inundation. As we got the gutters and soffats repaired or replaced last October, and no rain in over the winter, we feel it is safe to do this at last!

I am attempting to catch up with some sewing tasks, including making some vinyl chair covers and finishing a Victorian gent's 'uniform' coat!

Thanks Polly. We are headed to dad's house for a smallish family get together. Maybe a dozen or so. DS almost always works holidays. I miss being able to be our little family on these days. Thanks to all those that give them up to work for the rest of us. Taria

Had our 'Easter Dinner" Friday as DD came home Thurs eve and left at eek-o'clock Sat. DS goes into work today at noon so Friday worked out best. It was good having family together once again. Just having 'brunch' and then Mr. Joe and I will have a bit of ham for dinner.

Thank you Polly and to you -- and all rctq'ers - returned from Down Under Bronnie. We have had a lovely Easter with a bbq fish lunch at dear neighbours on Friday, a bbq lunch (baa lamb) near the beach on Saturday, dinner tonight with dear quilty friends nearby and tomorrow night I shall return the hospitality with a dinner at my place! Is that quiet? Well, amongst such friends we are blessed indeed. The autumn weather is gorgeous and the heat of the summer has dissipated at last.

We have had a lovely family centred day, with a meal at my in-laws. I have also managed to piece two baby quilt backings so tomorrow I can sandwich them ready for quilting. Yesterday I made two postcards for a swap and they will go in the post on Tuesday (no post tomorrow as it is a public holiday).
