OT Hope you're okay Bronnie...

There has been some rather nasty weather up that way in Oz. Good news is the Gold Coast area is no longer in drought the bad news is that it's now a natural disater area...

The world seems to be off its axis and is protesting by all this wild weather.

Very glad about the drought - wish some would come down south.

Stay safe Bronnie.

It is heading south, how far I don't know but it's cold wet and windy here in NSW today. It's worse to the north of us (Newcastle) but this weather is supposed to hang around until the weekend I think. As I type we just had a heavyish rain shower and now the sun is making an attempt to shine through the clouds.

Thanks Melinda for thinking of me. We are certainly tired of this very rainy summer and autumn! The last two days have been dreadful with lashing rains and wind. There has been a lot damage locally with powerlines down and outages, trees down, flooding and building debris flying around. There has been one sad death - a manager sitting in his down town office on the 1st floor, and an awning speared through the plate window killing him. One would think of being safe indoors. Thankfully we live on a ridge so no flooding for us. We get a good view of the weather coming across from the east. Queensland is now officially out of drought (5+ years). Our local dam has been full for a year now.

Its still raining but the anticipated high winds have not eventuated.

Cheers Bronnie

I heard about that incident on the news the other night.

We've had heavy rain showers on and off all day and it's been very windy and cold. Or backyard is currently mostly dug up in preperation for better drainage of stormwater and lots more concrete, DH hasn't the time to keep it all mown and is seriously thinking about a portable hoist for work and needs a temporary spot to set it up until we get the extensions done. I've given my sketch plans to DH so he can organise a time suitable for him to talk to someone about getting them sorted for submission to council for approval, he's been working flat out lately and has to spend some money so our tax bill isn't through the roof!

Sorry you have had to deal with all the weather, but you are more than welcome to send your rain to southern CA. We are in dire need!
