OT - I have an important question

I am ignorant of certain things, mainly because I have avoided certain aspects of internet life. I don't know how to ask this question, but it has to do with cyber-relationships between adults and children. I can't say anymore for fear of drawing more of the unwanted spam our way. I have a legal question. If anyone knows about these things, can you please email me?

How's that for vague. Sheesh. But it's the best I can do here and now. TIA

Contact your local police department -- or the department in the municipality where the child lives. Nearly all departments now have an Internet Task Force -- with computer experts who can access information from the child's computer -- and either get the person's information -- or set up future conversations in which they might get him.

Laws vary from state-to-state -- so it is important that you contact the authorities in the CHILD's municipality.

Karen, if it's illegal in person, it's probably illegal online. Do call your local police department. And if you don't get satisfactory answers or action, go to your state police. There are a multitude of laws now to protect children.

Sunny, hoping everything is okay and you and yours are safe
