OT I *still* hate computers!

Since I only work on Saturdays, the rest of the week seems to drift by with nothing in particular to do. Every morning I check the day of the week on my computer. If it tells me it's Friday then I set my alarm clock and set out my clothes to go to the office Saturday morning. I woke up this morning at 8:25, checked the computer and found out it was Saturday and I had to be to work at 8:30!!! I was positive I got my haircut yesterday, which was Thursday, so I frantically checked Yahoo and my emails and this ng and everything I could think of to try to find out if it was Friday or Saturday. I am finally calmed down and am pretty sure today is Friday. I also received Polly's email FOUR times!

My heart rate is just starting to slow down from the panic at thinking it was Saturday and I was hopelessly late for work..... I HATE computers! What a dirty trick to pull on a gal first thing in the morning!

Leslie, if you live near anyone with a bomb shelter, methinks you ought to go get in it! The only email I remember sending you was a picture of Paula's one day old Yorkie pups. And your message (I'm assuming that you sent rctq a post on hating computers) doesn't show up here. Only because Karen carried it with her wanting a spew warning did I see it. What IS going on in Missouri? Polly

Can I send a test message here? I am trying to set up Outlook Express to not show my real e-mail address and I am having trouble. If this does go thru alright then I need to figure out how to just reply to one individual. When I try to do that a box pops up saying a program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook and the send is greyed out and I can't send. a reply. ThanksPatsy

I just had a box pop up demanding that I accept an "Apple" software thingie. Isn't Apple for a Mac? Wonder where that came from? The goblins are out today for sure. Polly

I don't know! About 18 mo. ago it went thru a spell where it would jump a day about once a month- but no rhyme nor reason to it. I have it set to the government time and it does it's synchronization every week, I think??? It hadn't jumped a day in about 6-8 months, so I hadn't really thought about it in a while. I hope it's a loonnnngggg time before it pulls that naughty trick on me again. Sheesh!

Well, Apple's the creator of iTunes and Quicktime ... so if you use Quicktime, you're usin' an Apple product!

And Quicktime likes to "upgrade" itself through your browser ... so if you went to a site that has Quicktime content ....

Hi Patsy,

I get that message often and it is because you have selected Word as your email editor - Outlook Express is part of the Windows system and Word is part of the MS Office suite - it is quite safe to click OK as email programs need some sort of program so that you can type your message.
