OT - I've finally done it!

I spent this afternoon cleaning out my closet and drawers of all my "fat" clothes! I was a size 26-28 and am now a size 18-20 so I decided that anything above a 20 had to go - and it did!! I have 4 bulging shopping bags to go to the Salvation Army/St Vinnie's as I have decided I will NEVER be that big again. Geez I sound converted don't I? LOL. In the process I managed to find a pair of shorts I wore on our honeymoon (seven years ago) which are a size 18 and were a wee bit big for me then - I'm not game to try them on yet, maybe next week. And a gorgeous sweatshirt that DH bought for my "hospital" birthday which happened when DD1 was born six whole years ago which I'd only worn for one season I think - It now fits again - properly!!!

And the shelves? Well they are fairly bare. I'm hoping to stock them up when I've dropped to a size 14. Until then, well there's always S.E.X. isn't there? ROFLOL and kicking my feet in happiness. Ooooh I love weight watchers!!

woooooohooooooooo, ya did it already, totally impressive. going for a 14 eh. i'm sure you can do it now that you know how. now then... are none of those clothes 100% cotton? good grief, is any of it quiltable? might as well make something useful as a reminder of the old days. use it as a picnic rug or something, lol. keep it up and you'll have extra room on the return flight home for extra stash in 2004, lol. jeanne*

YIPPEE!!! I'm dancing for you in Texas. Congratulations! You have worked so hard and this is just one of the rewards for you. Way to GO!! I can't wait to meet you in Houston! We'll cover your tiny body in fabric..hehe.. The smaller you are, the more fabric for us. oooh (joking)

By the way there's nothing wrong with bare shelves! Spread out what you have and it will look so clean and neat, like everything has it's ONE place. Use a little space for a nice display area. A picture and one knicknack. Take pictures!! grins

Good going Sharon! (If any of those clothes are good quilting cotton, you could make a sort of reminder quilt.) Roberta in D

I am impressed, losing that weight is not easy. And by all means, get rid of the big clothes. Keep nothing that is baggy, no fat clothes to fall back on.

LOL - I've kept a pair of old tracky-dacks and t-shirt to remind me of what I used to be. That's enough I think!

Sorry - use what you would have given me on postage to buy some goodies! And a very good beg at that!

Funny how others can see how much I've misplaced yet I am hard pressed to see it. Hmmm maybe I need a new mirror?

Have to being the key word - my health wasn't doing so good - but now I feel better than ever. Even managed to run around at the park with the kids yesterday. And with Meaghan (Baby Giraffe)! Man does she have a fun-crazy mother!!

Absolutely! Just my idea. DH was kind enough to say that when I get to my "chosen" size he'll take me shopping for new clothes (and he doesn't go shopping easily!)

Sharon, congratulations. Most of us are green with envy but unwilling to give up our chocolates! I know how hard it is to lose weight and you are to be commended! Have you a plan on keeping it off? that's where my biggest failure has been.
