OT, if Cranky, do not read

Recently, DH had a fine new set of tires put on my car. Monday morning, one was quite flat. He took the tire back to the tire dealer (who is, incidentally a family friend). It turns out that the tire mfr had unknowingly received tire valves that were made in Ballahongawalla. They 'look' okay but are miserably defective. So. If you have a new set of tires, you might ought to learn how to check their pressure. Carrying your phone so you can call for help would also be a good idea. I know 'how' to change a tire but there ain't no way I could lift the spare out of the trunk. Polly

Joanna, ask your sweetheart if he's aware of the new tire/valve dilemma. Wonder if it's just a bad lot locally or a problem all over the place? [ I had help with dilemma; SpellCheck is my friend.] Polly

"Joanna" Very good advice. I'm proud of you. Even though you can't lift the spare

Oh I didn't say *I* was cranky; I'd just noticed that we have a lurker growling about OTs. For me, the OT messages here are just everything: entertaining, informing sometimes just plain outrageous. I never miss one. Polly
