OT just QI nonsense

I lived on Boulevard court. That is a small Cul de Sac just off Boulevard Way in the Saranap area. Bend is a nice area. Over on the eastern side of Oregon. I always liked the western side. Although, I did have a friend who moved to Bend a long time ago and was very happy with the move. It does get rather warm there in the summer. Moving can be stressful, but if you approach it as an adventure and if you are willing to take a chance, you can turn it into a wonderful learning experience. My wife and I have talked about moving overseas and living as expatriots for awhile. I don't know what that would entail but it would certainly be an adventure. I hope you have fun if you do decide to go for it. Life is to short to not follow your dreams.

That would be Annie! Yes, she retired, sold the building to someone in the medical profession. SEW Unique in Mt. Shasta City is a great shop. I just got back from a quilt retreat at SU that Linda Ballard held for my stitch group. It was a double double mystery and loads of fun! Linda bought and cut our fabric and the mystery quilt wasn't unveiled until the next day. Yreka actually has 2 quilt shops and is the home of the local quilt guild. Ashland is only 30 miles away......Merrill, OR (and the Tater Patch!) is about 1.5 hrs away...........

What attracted us to the area? Well, we love the mountain, the hunting and fishing, the quilting :-), and no traffic! (My dh commutes each day from Vallejo to San Ramon - a nightmare.) We started looking for property in Mt. Shasta but found it pricey. We have 23 acres and got it for a fraction of what we would have paid elsewhere. It's idyllic!

I'm going to the quilt show on Saturday with some friends. Do you belong to the long arm group from Napa? I am going to go to the next meeting.......I haven't met any longarm quilters f2f yet.......

I know the area John. I used to get my hair done over that way. It's a cool little area - sort of away from the main congestion. When is the last time you were in Walnut Creek? If it's been awhile, you'd be shocked to see how much the downtown has built up. It is being used as a model city for many cities around the country who are renewing their downtown areas. Tiffany's is right on Main Street, along with many, many little boutiquey stores. It's becoming quite chic - but too congested!!

My wife has been back a couple of times in the last 8 years but I have not. She has commented on the congestion; which is one of the reasons I wanted to leave. She said it took her 45 minutes to transit the length of the town on one fine summer day. Not for me.
