We seriously need an update on Val, Kathyl and Naomi. Does any of you have a closer way to check on their well-being that hoping for them to be able to post here? Polly

Well, I'm peeking in when I can find the right site on the computer, I'm borrowing from the library at the hospital. Today I finally got some steps taken with a walker. I had surgery on Tuesday and a purple cast put on my lower leg yesterday. I think I will get to go home tomorrow. A couple of my friends set up a bed in the living room for me. The pain hasn't been too bad if I keep up with my pain pills on schedule. My computer at home is on our lower level....it may take a few days before I can get down there. I have my wedding outfit pretty much assembled..i may have to send a freind out to buy me a new bra. I'll try to post when I can. KJ Kathyl

I don't quite understand why you need a new bra after breaking your leg to smithereens but what do I know? So very happy to hear from you Kathyl. When you get to go home and can't get to the computer, please do get someone to keep us knowing how you're doing. Holding you close in our hearts and prayers, Polly

yup, what Mz Polly said. maybe they could move the puter upstairs too, just beside the bed would be useful. you could always dictate your msgs for them to type. purple is a nice colour, hope it works with your dress. not that it really matters, eh. someone can always paint the darn thing i suppose. :) heck, girl, go braless, whos really gonna mind. makes a real statement and add one more story to be told waaaaaay into the future. can ya ever have enough good funny wedding storys. hang in there, KJ. hugz, j.

Howdy!

Again, I'm beside Polly w/ this query. New bra? .. to match the cast? "Local woman take tumble, breaks leg, dislocates breasts."

Does the broken leg cause breast shrinkage or inflation?

Is there some rule somewhere that says "you spend so many nights in the hospital, you qualify for a new bra"?

Thank you, Amy. We want so much for her to be pain free; she's had a mighty hard time of it. Polly

trying to catch up with some messages.........my message made me wonder too! I don't think I was on my morphine drip any longer, but it certainly didn't make much sense. I needed a new black bra for the wedding outfit!!! And as I dressed for the wedding, I realized the tank top under the jacket needed some alterations.....and I didn't have any safety pins with me! I spent most of the night trying not to show EVERYONE my new black bra!!!! My DH and a neighbor brought my computer upstairs a couple days ago and today the cable company came to hook me up. Yeah!

I was just thinking of you when I woke up, wondering how the wedding had gone, and how you managed. It is so good to hear from you. I hope you'll have some great memories of the special day, in spite of the problems. (Amazing how underwear could overtake a broken leg in the worry stakes >ggtrying to catch up with some messages.........my message made me wonder too!

So you avoided a 'Judy moment'. Judy of Richard and Judy TV prog. They were presenting an award at a ceremony (televised of course) Judy was wearing a black wrap over dress and when she turned round from the presentation her dress had unwrapped and her very white bra was revealled (rather fully). She didn't notice until Richard obviously said something to her under his breath. A TV oops moment that will never be forgotten and she must still go hot at the memory.

So glad that wedding No 1 went smoothly. Good luck for No 2.
