OT: My Aunt

My aunt passed away today at 1:25 pm. There's sorrow but I also know that she is truly Home. I will always miss her. So many people will. She was known and loved by many people thru out this world. She was such a giver to others, especially in Christ's name.

If anyone is wondering what happened regarding the money being stolen from her, there was no police action taken even though I had provided proof of discreptancy. The letter I received from the City Attorney stated that they were going with the report from the Adult Protection Agency and so they had nothing to give me regarding any type of investigation. So I turned to the APA again and they will not give out any information to me or anyone. And I know they did nothing but talked to my aunt knowing she had full dimentia.

The only thing I know about the police report is what one clerk told me over the phone: that the case/investigation was unfounded and turned over to the city attorney. And the above paragraph tells you what I got from them. Nothing.

I don't know what's going on but it's not right. It's like one agency is covering for the other because neither did their jobs. What happens now when my aunt's will is read, I haven't a clue.

But she is no longer is pain. She's Home.

Sending sympathy hugs to you, Donna. You did the right thing by reporting the fraud against your dear Aunt, and you know that she is now at peace. Those who took her money will have to answer for their deeds, if not soon then when THEY pass on. ME-Judy

My condolences. Comforting thoughts and prayers on the way.

Fortunately your aunt didn't know. You did the right thing and your aunt would have been proud of you.

Karma to the thieves.

Thank you, DiMa. I don't think I've seen the end of this. Other people are starting to figure things out and so what exactly is going to happens is anyone's guess.

I'm so sorry to learn of your beloved Aunt. You can be sure once she gets to heaven that she'll be aware of your deeds and will be proud of you. The thieves will get caught, and hopefully punished and you'll be rewarded. My sincerest condolences to you. amy
