OT: new house pictures and a jumper

I have mentioned how I redid the upstairs bathroom to look like a tropical beach/island, but never got around to posting pictures - have done so now. Have also posted pictures of DDs room make-over, and DSs room (Which has the exact same colors that *were* in DDs room). Lastly, the jumper from the "moose and tree" fabric that she picked out when I took her to JoAnns on my last visit.

On that inspirational quilt like they do on TV...use that as your center item and pull the colors from that quilt for the room...it is beautiful..... I also like the cabinets and counter tops....you'll love a double sink. Pami

Pami,

The colors aren't really our style, so I have pulled various shades from the kitchen - walls, counter, floors - and will be using them. However, I might through a bit of red in there just for giggles. I still have to relocate the magazine and templates that I started marking in the chaos that I call my sewing room, so this is something that might not even get started until the end of the year.

time to quilt! You put

Kate,

Not much quilting actually going on in the house. I just couldn't stand DD having to deal with a blue and taupe(?) bedroom anymore. I am now playing with ideas for the master bedroom, but still haven't decided on anything. Probably won't for another year or so...depends on how the BOM turns out .

Red s look nice in a quilt. I am into the sage colors....painted my living room that a few years ago and looks lovely with our hardwood floors. It looked yucky until I placed the Cherry curios back on the wall. I started out with one....now I have 2....I love to collect and save all my trinkets people send me or friends give me as gifts. One thing my parents taught me was to be thankful and appreciative. I have saved stuff from my parents as well...it's nice to look back on some items. I roast my turkey in the same pan my mom did for years...you can't find good roasters today. I cook the turkey for my family...I don't eat meat.
