OK, this is the year I don't work. I just found out that after 5 years of teaching English as a second language in Primary schools, that my contract is not being renewed. I am not alone, as they have cut founding for the whole region, not sure if I am sad or relieved that I will now have time to do all those jobs that I need to get done around the home. I didn't work many hours, a couple of mornings a week, however, sometimes it felt like I was preparing lesson plans for the rest of the week!
Talking about jobs, I am now avoiding moving the load of wood, for our open-fire, to where it should be in the garden.......oh and stacking it nicely !!
