OT: Prayers needed

We don't know exactly what happened, but my son had a kitchen fire this morning. He was wearing a pair of cutoffs and a t-shirt. He is now in a burn center in Portland ,OR . His hands and feet are burnt and his belly and his legs. I don't know yet how severe the burns are. Apparently his clothing caught on fire. I had to drive up and pick up his children so I didn't get to see him today. I will be seeing him first thing in the morning though. I would sure appreciate your prayers and good thoughts for his speedy recovery and the absence of infection. Thank You. Vikki in WA State

You got 'em, Vikki. What a horrible thing to have happened. I hope when you go to visit that things aren't as bad as you fear.

How awful, I hope that things are not as severe as you fear. Thoughts are with you both and his children.

Vikki, Your son and your family will certainly be in my prayers and thoughts. Kitchen fires are so dangerous because of the clothing catching on fire, or so I have heard, knock on wood I have never had one. Good there is a burn center near by and he is there, they know much better how to treat this than most regular hospitals. Infection is one of the major concerns in burn patients, so I certainly will pray for that to not happen, also.
