OT QI Color Coordination

Boomer was a no-brainer (which works on a couple of levels...) Everything he had was red; he looked GOOD in red.

Fudgey is another story... What looks good on dark brown (that I'm likely to find at a pet supply store)? Boomer's old red stuff is functional, but just doesn't quite go (not to mention the sadness it evokes). Fudgey needs to be his own dog...

Turquoise. Bright beautiful turquoise. Also pink - but then some ninny would have to say, "Oh isn't she pretty?" and Fudgey would have to respond. Rudely. Is Fudgey Irish? He might just love a bit o'green. Polly

Green. Green tartan to be specific. It's also a no-brainer. :)

How about a brilliant green or maybe orange?

After reading -- and agreeing -- with the posts from Polly, Sunny & Michelle C. it looks like there is a consensus. Four of us vote for

*some* sort of green. I must say I like the idea of a nice green plaid on the dark brown dog. Maybe something with a bit of bright yellow AND turquoise if you could find it? He'll be a handsome devil once you get him all spiffed up!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Sorry folks, pink and turquoise are OUT! I ain't making him into no girlydog! (and DW don't want no sissydog!) >8^|

Green may happen, but as much as I might like a tartan, he's not of Scottish stock, and while a collar would be doable, a matching leash would be next to impossible - not to mention any future additions/ accessories.

I 'spect we'll be looking at dark tones - green, cinnamon... Something masculine and expandable into other accessories (that may actually be a high priority criterion).

We're off to the pet stores as soon as I log off, so thanks for the input, wish us good hunting, and all that stuff...

I can see why you'd avoid pink given that Fudgey is male, but I've never associated turquoise as being particularly feminine....?

Yeah, based on the color theories, turquiose on the brown will make the brown richer looking!

My vote is turquoise, also!
