OT: QI has gone over the rainbow bridge

Well our dear cat, who has been suffering with urinary crystals, and got it sorted at the vets just over 10 days ago, passed away last night.

He came home and was doing really well, we were so pleased with his progress, but last night he curled up for a nap and just didn't wake up. It has been quite a shock, but he is now in the garden next to our dear old lady cat who died last year. So we are back to 1 cat after having 3 cats 2 years ago, so it seems rather quiet now.

Our DDs have already found a cat rescue centre, so later in the year we'll check them out, too much work to do at home first, don't want to scare any newcomer.

Feeling at a bit of a loss at the mo, but he was an inbred farm cat - he had 1 extra toe on each foot, that was what we knew about! Who knows what else was wrong with him. He did however make 10 years, whereas his brother only made 3 yrs.

Thanks for listening....

I'm so sorry Janner. Such losses are never easy, but I'm glad he was able to leave you so peacefully.

I so understand and sympathise, Janner. This year I am left with one (a much-loved little girl); but last year I had five. So I know what you mean about quiet. Such a kind way for the little one to leave you, though. You will, eventually, have lots of happy, fun memories to talk about. You can tell the new one(s) all about their 'forecats'. The girls can make up stories for them. I wonder if the French ones will learn English?! Will their mews have an accent? >g< Rest in the garden little man. . In message , Janner writes

I'll eco Louise's exactly. It's hard to let a fur-baby go, but your's went in peace. When the time is right to get a new fur-baby, you'll know - and there'll be one waiting for you. ME-Judy

Janner, so sorry to hear of your sweet kitty. Clearly he was loved and at the end was at peace. Cold comfort right now for a broken heart, but you gave your dear kitty a good life. I'm glad to hear you will be rescuing another little soul later in the year. Love only grows when it's shared more.

Hugs, Sunny
