Got my shoes on Mon...have to get use to them...makes walking a bit diff--foot 'rolls' as they have steel shanks in the soles and are 'longer' than usual to protect the toes. They do look like 'ordinaary tennis shoes'. :) Yeah, they're heavier than regular shoes. Had to take a bank loan out to afford them....ins won't cover them.
Not using the SM yet, but need to get started laying out 2 more "I Spy/ABC" quilts.

Can I send you some sequins? I have an outrageous new pair of hot fuchsia pink sequined tennis shoes. It seemed to me that at my age I could wear anything just to celebrate that I could walk. Thanks for the inquiry and warning. It is appreciated :) Have had chronic back pain for 20 yrs now........because of what is wrong I really can't go to a chiropractor..they wouldn't 'touch' me. Yes, I have had DR(s) that said their best friend was one--but it would be too dangerous for me to go there.
Anyway, the Ortho fella had me walk around in them whilst he 'held my hand for balance', just in case.Then walked down the halls for a good 5 min to make sure I was safe before he let me out the door. I will go back to the Ortho Dr this week to see how the 'fit' is and if they need 'tweaking'. Hopefully, these shoes will cut down on the pain and prevent knee pain.
so far, *I* thik they are ok.
