OT - some healing thoughts and prayers for my QI

Winston is in hospital and the Vet is fairly sure that she can fix his leg. He is due to be operated on tomorrow if the bone plate arrives today, otherwise it will be Wednesday and possibly home by Saturday or Sunday. Sure is lonely without him but I am praying he will be OK.

Prayers are working so far, let's hope the op goes alright.

Will let you know.

Thanks so much for your support. It means a great deal to me.

Whew! So glad to have such a good prognostication for Winston . . . and while he's in the care of a fine vet, you can go ahead and be as weepy as you need to. When he gets back home, you're going to have to be quietly happy and none of that crying or high anxiety will be allowed. A lot depends on Winston's disposition; our Yogi gets even more upset if given sympathy so we have to appear unconcerned. Something you may already know or will need to ask your vet - should you be adding to his diet something that will help him have strong bones? Polly

He will. It's a matter of time.

It will.

Thank you.

You are welcome. Cry now as much as you like while he's out of the house. I did when Cornflake acquired The Most Expensive Cat Leg In England after breaking it in his sleep! If you cry where they can hear you, it just upsets them. Oddly, HE will not be upset by the whole thing. But YOUR distress (which is perfectly unserstandable) WILL distress him.

Cornflake ended up in a puppy cage for three months because his leg ulcerated and he couldn't have a plaster on it (partly his own fault!). Being stuffed back in the cage after his evening cuddle upset him far more than the pain of the break. We had to be ever so firm with ourselves when he yowled about it...

I've come in late for this - but am remembering Winston in my prayers, along with Jack and his bad back. How we depend on the presence of our pawed buddies! Musicmaker
