OT - Thank You

Thank you so much for all the emails and posts of condolence for the loss of my husband, Wayne.

We had a lovely graveside memorial service including the Honor Guard from Mountain Home Air Force Base on July 16.

The past two or three weeks have been the worst weeks of my life. My oldest son had a spinal fusion on June 25, developed a rip-roaring infection, had to have the whole procedure done over again and then had a heart attack the day after the surgery (the day Wayne passed away). They put in a stent the next day. He's doing better now. Has to have a PIC line for 5 - 6 weeks with continuously running antibiotics to keep the infection from returning.

Two days before Wayne's service, our septic system finally completely crashed. So, the day of the service besides having a houseful of people, I had a back hoe and several men in my yard digging up the yard and drain field. It's all fixed now - I just have to pay the bill!

They say everything happens in threes - well, I've had my three happenings and don't want any more!

All of my family and friends (both here and online) have given me so much support. I never realized how many wonderful friends I have until now. As I told someone else, you do what you gotta do. Don't have any choice except to survive!

A Hollywood movie writer couldn't make up such a bunch of sad, terrifying and stressful things happening at all once.

I'm glad to hear your son is on the mend. Sending positive thoughts his way. And sincerely hoping that you get some much needed time to regroup.
