He's home, it wasn't a clot but whatever the heck they call serious inflammation from all the poisons they pump thru the IV. He's not on a blood thinner, but on moist heat and elevation, all his regular pre surgery meds and vitamins, plus 2 more. !
Oh good news! Not that serious inflammation is anything to scoff at, but at least it wasn't a clot.
