I hadn't seen anyone post the link, but the winners are up on the AQS website.

A good friend got the booklet with all the winning quilts. They are gorgeous! Although if I had been the owner of that "Buckskin something or other" I would have been extremely disappointed in the picture in the book. The thing is orange and not that beautiful buckskin color that's shown on the website. Or, heck, maybe the book picture is the closest to reality and the website had the color wrong!

Link is down. When I checked the actual AQS website, I couldn't find a link at all. Instead, lots of comments abouth how bad the color was in the photos of the winning quilts in the catalog.

I have the book and I agree. I saw the quilts in person and the pictures in the book don't really do them justice. I assume the book is compiled from the slides submitted for the show. That can vary in quality. Then the speed with which the book is put together after the semifinalists are announced probably doesn't allow for much tweaking time if they want to have to book for sale at the show. JMHO>

Every quilt is gorgeous, some are exquisite, many are handquilted. Meanwhile, all over Paducah there were beautiful quilts, in shops, in banks, in the bakery & library, in temporary businesses, on front porches, just everywhere. It was delightful.
