How is your learning curve going with your new frame and machine?

Currently, the thread frays almost immediately. Called the dealer - I have to either figure out how to remove the hook assembly from the machine myself and mail it to the dealer, or find 3 hours, AGAIN, in which I can drive to the dealer with the machine. He says it sounds like a burr on the hook. I asked him why, the last time I brought the machine in, it worked fine for him, but that lasted 10 minutes at home before the fraying began again. He said, "That's a very good question. I'll have to see it." So I'm busily working on UFO's and 2 baby quilts for Christmas. (-:

maybe they switched out that part without telling you...putting in one with a burr on it. gawd, i'd be spitting tacks right in someones face. hope this time it works as it should. if you end up taking it there yourself.... take one of the quilts you need to quilt, take anything you need to do that and quilt it there to test it out in the shop. then if it continues to act stupid you can toss it right at him and tell him you want a new one that actually works properly. sorry, guess i'm in a mood again today but honestly why take prisoners when ya gotta house and feed'em and they dont do any work at all. j.

"Mood," heck - I think you're spot on. Demand satisfaction; it's your right as a customer of such an expensive item.
