Ping Polly and anyone else with a bernina....

i'm still working on getting the bernina out of hock (ie still on layaway). i did recieve a neato coupon in the mail for 25% off of an accessory.....

for Polly, and everyone else...do you have either the #37 or 57 foot? it's the quarter inch one, i believe the 57 has the guide. is it worth it? anyone have a machine with the 9 mm wide..if so, do you use either of those feet???

thanks so much!

Hi Betsey, I have a Bernina 1260 and I have both the 37 and 57 feet. The 57 with the guide is great for long straight seams. I used the 37 for many years before I got the 57. I use the 37 less often now since I got the 57. I love my Bernina. Most of my friends have Pfaffs with the IDF(?) and only occasionally do I envy their dual feed when I have to put the walking foot on my machine but my machine is so quiet. I hope the Bernina comes to live with you very soon so you can start enjoying all she has to give. Donna in Bellevue

Do I ever do an answer without beginning " It depends"? It depends. Some days I stitch with the 37. Some days with the 34. ( The 34 is clear with a red line right down the center.) Just me, I reckon, but I don't often use any of the feet with blades. I think maybe many moons ago I must have whocked a sm badly by zigging into one. And, like Donna, I wish you great happiness with your new Bernina. Polly
