quilting friends

Things have been crazy here but yesterday I got a chance to spend the day with my 'blanket lady' friends. I was able to bring along an old quilting friend with me. She is almost 83 and a real treasure. Her husband in hospice and she is clearing out a lot in her home in preparation to a move. It was fun to see her enjoy getting out and chatting up a storm. When I took her home she had 3 large boxes of fabric for me! We sat down and went through some of it and had a fun time sharing about where some of the stuff came from. Her sewing room is a treasure. Full of old odds and ends and some of her special work. Today I will go through the fabric and work it into my collection or set it aside for the group charity quilts. I think some of this old fabric just moves around a lot!

Taria, hoping to sew today too

Thanks! There is a lot of 70's cottons screaming to be made into a vintage looking quilt. Also, there were two large pieces in fabric I can use for Raggedy Ann dresses. Fabrics prints I have used but can't find anymore. Woohoo! Taria
