LOL, not only would some kind of quilting frame set up be on my wish list, it also includes that we move house, that someone does all the work of moving and that I'm suddenly an expert in long arm quilting!

Always collecting batiks...

Quilting/sewing: a heavy duty sewing machine, capable of sewing leather/canvas/many thicknesses. I recently realized the advantages of one when I repaired a friend's fly sheet for her horse and had to do it by hand. It would also be helpful in my bagmaking. Those layers add up!

I'll add my "me too" to Sally's wish for more quilting/sewing time!

I would like a 9.5 inch square Omnigrid ruler... or a piece of Plexiglas cut to those dimensions. And a pair of 6" Ginger scissors

My sewing machine to work again (every time we get ready to have it fixed, something comes up -- always a crisis that takes priority, this past time Plumbing (a collapsed pipe underground is not a good thing

-- trust me on that!)

Plus, some 100% cotton batting -- just a bit, because I used the last of mine for Kidlet's quilt. Since the top isn't pieced though, batting is not a priority. All the blocks are done except for the framing -- and I can use the 6x12 ruler I've got so the 9,5 square is needed -- not really.

Wouldn't mind a gift certificate to a place that sells notions. I'm a gizmo/notion collector!

Janice, I don't remember what your sewing machine trouble is. Have you told us about it to see if we can help you with that? Through the years, this wonderful group has saved many a repair bill. Some of us have become downright dangerous but it just could be that we could help you. We would love to try. Polly

Collecting: Batiks and bright marble fabrics (not the kind of marbles that have fallen out of head recently)

Quilting: A large chest for storing fabric, and a bookcase.

Dare I say 'no'...it isn't tangible.....surely you could use another Sewing needle..diff kind of thread...something you'd like to try but wouldn't buy on your own..

Time, peace, that kind of 'stuff', so to speak, isn't 'buyable' and hopefully is on all our lists........

More like: get it at a 'store' , make (pincushion comes to mind), and send it on...

Doesn't have to be 'new'....ie....featherweight SM
