quilts adopted

DD2 and her fiancé were here for a visit. Just moved in together, so they are in the midst of furnishing a home. My new future son-in-law has become a quilt convert! I showed them the stack of quilts that I hadn't quite decided what to do with, and they picked out 3 to hang on walls. These were not bed-size projects, just things that asked to be made. OK for baby beds. I hardly ever make huge ones any more, but sometimes this makes it more difficult to find homes for them. The kids probably won't get another for the wedding, because DD already has a queen size AND a double size, plus a number of smaller pieces that were on the walls of her former apartment. (Blessed are the children of quilters, right?) Roberta in D

Sounds like you and DD2 have a lot of pretty quilts in your homes! I really enjoy visiting in a "homey crafted" home. They are so comfortable!. Barbara in SC

Isn't it wonderful to have offspring, even 'in-law', that take joy in your creations? Some of ours cherish their quilts; some think they're just another blanket. Happy for you Roberta, your daughter chose well. Polly
