Quilts of Valor

Ladies and gentlemen,

I know someone here has the answer. Our guild started to make quilts for the wounded warriors at Camp Pendleton a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the woman who was chairing the committee became too busy and stopped communicating with others and has now gone MIA. My gf still has 10 - 15 of the quilts at her house. Camp Pendleton, supposedly as we are told by word of mouth, is no longer accepting the quilts. Since they were made specially to be used for Military, we are now looking to find a home. Does anyone have a contact number for someone with Q of V to whom we can send these quilts and have them get to either wounded warriors or their families?

Your help is greatly appreciated. When we have contacted someone from the website, we are getting the run-around.

Thanks so much in advance

Debbi, did you contact the Regional Coordinator for California? If not, there's a link for the regional coordinators on the left-hand side of the QOVF home page, and that might get you some better direction.

In addition to the QOV, contact the Veteran's Hospital in Los Angeles. They may be able to direct you towards a rehabilitation center where thy will be reveived with love. I know we have recently opened a retired veteran's facility here in Ventura County.

Oh, I'm so glad. I only know her through another list I'm on but she is an amazing woman. The quilts will be in good hands.
