My mid-life crisis car was at 45 and I got a VW Cabriolet. Red with Black top. We call her Ladybug! The first car I bought with cash for myself.

if you love someone - it's what in your heart (not by the looks and age doesn't matter)

My dh always told me that when I turn 40, he is going to trade me in for two 20 yo's. I always tell him that dogs don't live that long!

The response that I've heard used to that line is to tell him that he's not wired for 220. (for those of you outside the US, most of our electrical devices run off 110 volt power, but appliances that draw heavy, such as stoves and most air conditioners, run off 220 volt power)

dear gentle spirit - it isn't age that makes the difference - it's character. He could be 30 yrs younger - if he understands how to love, he cannot think that a young woman will satisfy his soul's need. He could be ugly, he could be young, he could be old, he could be fat - as can you! What has that got to do with love!?

How about you tell him that since he had the pleasure of enjoying you as a blossom, and then green fruit, he now gets to savor the rich ripeness you have become. Diana

My mother is 10 years older than my beloved Pa, who is my step-dad.

My DH is 7 years older than me.

Pa is only 5 years older than my DH.

Here's how it goes:

Merry - 45, DH - 53, Pa - 58, Mom - 68.

Mom & Pa have been married 38 years. Me and DH will be married 25 years in September.

Merry Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once
