Re: on and OT: ramblings

Yep, nappies are wet the poos are the right colour and I'm fairly sure the right consistency for breast-fed, so I guess I'll just have to figure something out or just wash the towels I use on the change mat rather often! At least the Napisan treatment stuff gets everything out without taking the colour!

We don't get snow on the coast, and he does not like being cold at all!

I miss those days when Meg still did the easy to clean up breastfed poos. I dont know that she ever did projectile poo but Marcus, DGS, does! Not much to do but wait till its all done first I think. What fun! Diana

Oh, yes!!! Put him in the sink, kind of over your arm and use the spray attachment to quickly clean the entire bum area! ... or Bath as Kate suggests.... Diana

His Dad isn't into sports! I'm the one with the sporting trophies, but thet arn't from a team sport.

If DS got interested in one of those sports, of the choices I'd prefer him to go for cricket or soccer - safer options, but no sport is as safe as mine, despite what people might think considering what is used!

His bath or ours? Ours is sitting in the garage on top of an old fridge 'cause our bathroom ain't finished yet :-( His bath is a bit restricted on space.

Sink faucets in this house don't swivel as they come straight out of the wall, and we don't have spray attachments on either, but I'm getting better at timing his changes, and watching his face to see if he's finished! I'm only missing he's 'fountains of youth' after a bath when he's a bit cool from being dried off before we dress him back up.

yet one more test in such a long long line of 'em. my 16yo tim aced his test last night. went to his school winter ball (his first, this boy also doesnt go out much so is not acquiring the usual knowledge for outings of any kind), walked to his mates (friend of any sex downunder, lol) house just round the corner at

5pm looking rather smart in his suit etc. the ball started at 7pm downtown. a bunch of the kids were taking a mini-van taxi together. they get dinner at the ball then they dance til about midnight when its finished. he told us he'd probably spend the nights at someones house. well of course that had me eeeeeeeeeeeeeek'n but what could i do. told him call us if ya need a ride. call us if you're staying out all night to tell us where you'll be. told him the usual bout booze and 'stuff'. he says i'm not gonna do anything stupid, i dont drink, dont like the taste of it even. whewwwwww. my usual last comment to all my kids when they leave to go anywhere is 'come home in one piece and coherent'...i'm hopeing that covers everything. :) so far its worked. went to bed, dont know why but i crashed easily given the fact my youngest might be out all night whoknowswhere. i wake vaguely at the sound of front door opening (he remembered his key? this never happens on school days, then i gotta go downstairs and let him in, oh well), check clock and its only 3:15am. waited til he got to top of stairs, said hi, did ya have a good time, i get a mumble in some alien language and thats the end of any convo. so i drifted happily back to sleep. what a kid, hes ACED it again, much to my surprise and delight. jeanne*

Cleaninng his bum ain't a problem, it's just the timing of the cleaning which I think I've got a handle of now.
