Yes, but they could do other things to trees - if I'm not being too indelicate >g<

(I don't put up a Christmas tree, either - and all Christmas cards are hung at door top height!) . In message , Leslie & The Furbabies in MO. writes

Oh yeah they can! I once had a Bassett hound who got a horridly swollen eye and all kinds of icky discharge that all came on very suddenly just before Christmas. The vet checked her and treated her for an eye infection but her eye didn't respond. He finally suggested surgery.... and found a chuck of a glass tree ornament deep in the roof of her mouth. We speculated she chomped down in it, it shattered in her mouth and one piece was lodged in her mouth. Who would have thought to check the back of her mouth for what seemed to be an abscessed eyeball? Critters! They make you crazy living with them but how bleak would it be without them?

Mine are perfectly house-broken for all their other goofy quirks (nothing indelicate about me! LOL)
