I take a new lunch bag, turn down a couple of inches on the top, to hold it

I don't understand why all you folks don't recycle those bits! I put all my thread snippets, selvages, etc in a big bag behind the couch and then I take upholstery material or whatever and make big floor cushions or couch cushions and stuff them with the snippets. Why spend money on fiberfill or pellets when you've got all those fabric bits going to waste? We didn't have a garbage collection when I was a kid, we recycled, composted, or burned all of our rubbish! Old habits die hard.
