six-pointed star

A computer-less friend has asked me if I know of a pattern for a six-pointed star.

Would anyone have a suggestion?

[I know I could google it, but I was hoping for a pattern that someone had actually tried.]

Thanks!

I needed a good laugh this morning! Thank you.

Had to fast for 12 hours for some routine blood tests early this morning. Slept through most of the fasting time, but couldn't have any coffee when I got up. Now I've had a good belly laugh, and I'm about to get up for the second cup of coffee.

Hello Polly Welcome. Pull up a chair. We are a very friendly bunch! Someone might even share the M&M's. I can't as I'm supposed to be avoiding that stuff.....:(.

Where are you that you have 4 feet of snow? I'm grumbling this morning cause we woke up to snow after having several weeks of very spring-like weather. We know that your friend likes 6-pointed stars, how 'bout you? What type of quilts do you like?

You'll have a lot to live up to with your name. We have a very entertaining Polly already. :) Posts under Polly Esther. She has 'Gators instead of guard dogs!

Look for a Lemoyne Star (sometimes called Lemon Star.) Are you new here? Welcome to group.

8-pointed. There's instructions for a Lemoyne star here:

The six-pointed star is the one in Seven sisters and other blocks of that ilk. Here's a pattern:

Lots of Judaica type info and links to more patterns here:

and a simpler, "cheater" version here:

Jeanne: I stand corrected! I checked a couple books, and I see that the Lemoyne Star does in fact have 8 points. Furthermore, I see that each diamond is split longwise into two colors. Lovely, just lovely! PAT in VA/USA
