Stash Enhancement

We are going to see our daughter and son that live in the east bay area of California. So far on the itinerary are Stonemountain and Daughter in Berkeley and Quilted Angel in Petaluma.

Have a fun time! We look forward to the trip report. Hey, next year Houston West is going to be in Portland in August. I have a hankering for a meetup!

Howdy! I took a Stash Enhancement trip in July. The older quilt shop in my home town has closed its doors (due to owner's age & her family's commitments elsewhere). In preparation for the closing, the fabric was all on sale for $2 per yard. And it's in my home town, with lots of shopping & sight-seeing opportunities along the way. I took a quick vacation, helped clear a few.. well, okay.. several bolts at Quilter's Heaven in Princeton, IL, picked up corn & salsa & jams at The Apple Barn

(a great place for apples, later in the year! ), and another stop at St. James Winery

in Missouri. 150 yards of fabric, including some original Jenny Beyer collection in good shape; lots of large pieces for backing, and some just FUN-FUN fabric. Yee-Haw! It's all good.

Sandy,

Did they ring the bell for you? A friend and I were there recently and had the bells rung several times.

Then we went to the other store in town for a FQ sale. And then we went to a restaurant where the orders sail along on a wire, each order attached by a bulldog clip.

Princteton is a fun town to visit.

The Cotton Patch in Lafayette and Thimble Creek in Concord are both wonderful. And of course, Britex Fabrics in the City itself. HTH and have fun Julie

Our daughter in Danville suggested both. But DH doesn't want to spend the entire week at quilt shops. LOL

Lol, well if you have to choose between the two, then go to Thimble Creek. Julie
