Have not posted here for a while because I moved last fall, getting ever ything unpacked and needed a rest from quilting because I was feeling some what burned out.
I started this quilt a few days ago. Got the pattern out of McCalls Qui ck Quilts Aug/Sept. 2014. Finished size will be approx. 84 x 101. guess th is would be queen size. This is going to be a mans quilt but I did not want to use very bright colors, so the paisley block has brown, black,tan strip es with paisleys design. I will have to cut the outer border lengthwise be cause of the design. There is 4 more Churn Dash blocks to sew before I start assemblying ever ything. I plan on using sashing between blocks which will help define pais ley blocks from Churn Dash blocks. On the half squares for the Churn Dash corners I just did finger pressing because in the past no matter how caref ul I was pressing they were not square. Had much better luck with just fing er presssing. When the blocks are all done I will press them all and squar e them up. Will try to keep you posted on my progress. Sandy$
