The Quilt Show

The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims have a new series starting and they are making the first show open to everyone for this weekend. The guest is Melinda Bula.

They told me in their newsletter e-mail which had a link, but when I went to the main site to see if the link was there too I couldn't see it. However the e-mail link was:

Thanks for this, Sally. I haven't tried to watch it yet - I have saved all the Quilt Shows from a long way back into their own folder - I keep thinking I'll 'soon' have time to get caught up; but ... ... . In message , Sally Swindells writes

What a great show! Thanks for this. The color value portion really made sense to me!

Thanks. I enjoyed that. I think I even have that book. I watched all of the first year but then tired of the personalities of the hosts.

Hummmm I don't think I've posted about his yet...or did I? My brain is like swiss cheese these days. Anyway....I won a trip to see a taping of "The Quilt Show" in Boulder in September. I entered a sweepstakes on the Accuquilt website and I won the grand prize.

friend and I will fly out on a Saturday and be in the audience for the taping of two shows on Sunday, (DH didn't think he would enjoy it as much as one of my quiting buddies). Then we will have a backstage tour of the studio and go out to dinner with the producers on Sunday night. The producers are, Alex and her husband, John, and Ricky and his partner, Justin. Cool huh? We don't know who the guests will be, yet. So at some point, when you watch "The Quilt Show" online, I'll be one of the front row guests. Ugh......can I sit in the back???

Howdy!

Yep, saved up the Quilt Shows to watch "when I get a chance..." and never did. Didn't want to sit in front of the computer for that long, and didn't get all that interested in the show(s). If I missed anything... well, I won't know it.

My favorite quilt shows were hosted by Penny McMorris (of EQ fame), The Great American Quilt series.

I have them on VCR tapes and have the books. Do you remember the diamond made by Michael James. Always wanted to do that. In the book it is black & white and sort of fades from lack of shine & blues. Anna Belle

While I'm not interested in purchasing it at this time, I happened to see that the AQS has the book on sale:
