TODAY is JULY 25th

Just in case you didn't notice. Just in case you're one of those maniacs that puts their Christmas tree up on October 1st. Just in case you Must have all your gifts wrapped and cards addressed and stamped on November 15th. If not - it might be a good time to at least begin thinking about a holiday table runner or pincushion for only 18 members of your Sunday School class. Ah me. What a little ray of sunshine I am. Maybe you can line up some of your alligators, each holding a small project all cut out and ready to sew. After you finish one project you let that particular alligator go back to the swamp and call the next to come forth! As the last gators get closer, you know they are starting to get hungry and you sew faster to help get these few on their way! Bet you could get your sewing done in a hurry! You would have lots of "extra hands" ----uuhhhh "mouths" to hold the cloth. Barbara in SC

Ah ... I did consider the US - and will do so again. But, I wanted something easy. So I am going from our nearest airport to Canada (where I lived for a couple of years and have good friends that I haven't seen for ages - longer than since I've seen you!).

Thanks for the smile after the thought that I might be visiting you >g< . In message , KJ writes

That sounds really nice! I hope you have a wonderful time catching up with your friends. I just wanted to double check where you were going so I'd know whether to clear out the guest room. :-)

Awesome. This will be the first Christmas in 27 years we have a baby in the family! I'm counting the days, too.

thermostat said only 12C in the house when i got up at 7:30. i could shut the livingroom/lounge doors and turn the heater on but would take as long to heat this room enough for my liking as it will for the sun to come up and do it for free. so here i sit with heated rice bag/couch throw over my legs and a hot cuppa tea to keep a bit warm while i wait. its only 10 past 8 now. brrrrrrr, come on sunshine, i'm still cold. j.

If you want to come to Tidewater Virginia, the 'best' months weather wise are probably May and October. Quilt wise, the best time is late February, so you can visit the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival. In either case, we'd have some fun here, so do keep this in mind. Pat in Virginia PS: You've NEVER met me!
